The Beacon House is seven blocks from the Boardwalk and only 20 minutes from the Wilmington Airport. This original 1950's boarding house conveys the essence of days gone by with much of its unique charm still evident throughout. From vintage photographs to memorabilia, the decor blends naturally with the comforts of modern day amenities. Guests can relax and enjoy the ocean air on one of three decks of the inn or take an evening stroll on the beach. Along with friendly, hospitable service, the inn offers a full southern breakfast, beach chairs/umbrellas and local discounts. The inn can also design a variety of activities to fit any guest's needs, whether it's a romantic dinner, pig roast or group meal. A television, DVD player, mini-fridge and coffee are available in common areas. The air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in a number of motifs. Guests can choose the Spring Garden room, the Pineapple room or the Birdhouse room, to name a few. All rooms feature ceiling fans, comfortable queen beds, multiple pillow options and quality linens. Some rooms feature satellite television.
